May 3rd & 4th

4th ANNUAL MARKET FAIR AND MAY POLE
Sponsored by Visit The Fort and join in the celebration of The Rites of Spring. Pequawket Alliance. Traditional May Pole dance will be held on Saturday at noon.

June 7th & 8th
(Opening Weekend)

THE SIEGE 0F 1747
French and Native war parties descend on The Fort to battle the New England militia during King George’s War. Join us as we recreate the historic Siege in which the forces of France tried to push the English colonists out of the Connecticut River Valley. Fort battles scheduled for noon and 2:00 each day.

July 19th & 20th

CHILDREN’S WEEKEND AT FORT NO. 4
Children of No. 4 will be on hand to demonstrate the day-to-day life of children in Colonial America. This weekend is devoted to the child in us all with 18th century games that will entertain while crafts will fuel the imagination.

August 2nd & 3rd

250th FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR COMMEMORATION
The battle cry has sounded! British and French troops along with Native Americans from across the US and Canada will gather to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the French and Indian War. Also, take time to visit Sutler Row for those much needed 18th century items. Battles are scheduled for 2:00 on Saturday and 1:00 on Sunday.

October 4th & 5th

STARK'S MUSTER
General Stark and his men gather to prepare for their march to Bennington, VT. Join us for drills, historical talks, genealogy and more.

October 25th

PICKPOCKETS, ROGUES & HIGHWAYMEN
Special time: 5:00pm-9:00pm.

Join us as some unseemly characters lurk about The Fort giving visitors a scare and making them laugh during our 18th Century All Hallows Eve Event! Visitors will encounter the darker side of the 18th Century as they mingle with assorted ne’er-do-wells of the time period. Activities include a treasure hunt for children, horse drawn wagon rides (weather permitting) and more for the entire family. Regular admission charged.

October 25th & 26th

ROGERS' RETURN
We close out our season with the story of Robert Rogers and his Rangers returning from the St. Francis raid. Watch as they reenact the original return to No. 4 via the Connecticut River and hear their tales about the raid.

The Fort at No. 4 Living History Camp 2008

For 8 to 14 year olds

Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm (early drop off and late pick-up will be available for an extra charge)

Children of The Fort at No. 4 Living History Camp will learn various aspects of life on the Connecticut River Valley during the 1740's.

18th century crafts, chores, food preparation, games and more will engage children throughout these fun filled weeks. Camp Cost $175.00 per week. (10% Discount for Sibling enrollment – call for details)
