THE FORT AT NO. 4, 1740-1760 by Nona Bruce and Barbara M. Jones.  A history of the Massachusetts Bay Colony’s grant in the Connecticut River Valley called No. 4 that became the New Hampshire grant of Charlestown, New Hampshire.   There is a bibliography and index.  Also included in the 24-page booklet is Captain Phineas Stevens’ dispatch to Colonel William Williams about the three-day siege of April 7-10, 1747.
